As many as 19 students were taken ill after consuming midday meal (MDM) at the Charitaraf Upper Primary School under Tihidi block in the district on Friday.
Sources said that the school children were served the meal in the afternoon. But after a few minutes, some students complained of uneasiness.
Later, the children were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
When the Sub-Collector reached the hospital to take stock of the situation and inspect the health condition of the students, parents of the students alleged that a dead mouse was spotted in the served food, sources said.
