Consultant endocrinologist Dr Sunil Kumar Kota from the Diabetes and Endocare Clinic, Brahmapur, was appointed by PHFI as the regional trainer for the 6th cycle to impart training on skill enhancement in management of various non-communicable and lifestyle disorders.
The training was concluded this year with short valedictory function held at THE BeMC office here on Friday.
There were 17 doctors from South Odisha who got trained under theguidance of Dr Kota. After 12 monthly sessions on different aspects ofdiabetes followed by an online examination this year, the participating doctors were entitled to receive a certificate.
In a valedictory meet, BeMC Commissioner Dr Siddeshwar B Bondar said that the lifestyle disorders including diabetes and hypertension have to be properly dealt with lifestyle modifications.
Dr Bondar thanked Dr Kota for training doctors of South Odisha from
2015 itself leading to training of four batches of doctors till date.
He further requested Dr Kota to carry on with various social awarenesscampaigns in public interest.
