The Odisha United Primary and Upper Primary Teachers’ Federation on Sunday decided to stage a mass agitation involving over 1.5 lakh teachers at the lower PMG here during the coming Assembly monsoon session beginning September 4.
The federation took this decision at a meeting where leader of seven teachers’ associations attended. The teachers would stage the demonstration to press for implementation of their seven demands, which includes payment of salary as per the Seventh Pay Commission.
