A 15-year-old boy was arrested by Mahulapada police of Sundargarh district on Monday allegedly for raping a seven –year-old girl. Police conducted medical examination of the victim girl.
Sources said on Sunday afternoon in a village under Mahulpada police station, the accused had lured the victim by offering a chocolate to her. He had taken her to an isolated place and had raped her. The girl returned home crying and informed to her family members. The family members of the girl lodged a complaint at the Mahulpada police station on Sunday evening.
Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case and started an investigation. "We have forwarded the accused to an observation home on Monday," said Mahulpada PS IIC JK Behera.
