144 clamped near Sarathi Ashram

The Kendrapada district administration on Sunday morning clamped Section 144 CrPC in the area adjacent to the Sarathi Ashram at village Barimula keeping in mind that breach of peace might occur between the villagers and members of the Satyam Charitable Trust during inaugural ceremony of the Srimad Sarathi temple from July 6 to 9.

Palpable tension has been prevailing in the area for several  months after the trust allegedly used the village graveyard and gochar land for parking of devotees' vehicle on the occasion of 'satsang' every Sunday and festival days, said official sources.

Notably, the trust had earlier urged the district administration to provide permission to use the goachar patch and graveyard of Barimula as parking place during the Sarathi Temple's inauguration to begin from Sunday. later Barimula villagers also approached the district administration and demanded that permission should not be given to the trust to use the two patches of land.
