The Biramitrapur Police in Sundargarh district on Monday afternoon arrested four minor boys on charge of raping a 12-year-old girl of their village Banamunda Dafai on Sunday night.
The juveniles were identified as Bijay Gudia (17), Sachin Badaik (14), Tirchu Kujur (15) and Robin Kujur (17). They would be forwarded to court on Tuesday.
According to sources, while the girl was returning home after finishing domestic help work at around 8 pm on Sunday evening, four boys forcibly took away her to a secluded place and took turn to raped her one after another.
On being released from the boys’ clutches, the victim went to her home and narrated the incident before her parents. Her parents lodged an FIR with the police on Monday morning.”All four accused are minors. They have been arrested,” said IIC Biramitrapur PS IIC M Deo.
