The Rural Electrification Corporation-Power Distribution Company limited (REC-PDCl) awarded REC-PDCl Merit Scholarship Award 2013-14 to 125 selected scholars who included students of various Government engineering colleges, IITs and NITs.
Accordingly, 11 2nd year meritorious students under BPUT got the award with Rs 24,000 each as cash prize and a citation at a function held at the BPUT headquarters here. Addressing the gathering, BPUT Vice-Chancellor Prof JK Satapathy called upon the awardees to pursue their studies with more efforts.
The awardees are Chandan Kumar Naik, Krushnendu Mandal, Pulak Chandan Jena, Shubhrajit Subudhi, Mukal Sharma and Shuvendu Kumar Rath from Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar (formerly OSME), Sangeeta Das, Sanjibanee Mohapatra and Disha Kanungo from CET, Bhubaneswar, Harekrushna Maharana of GEC, Kalahandi and P Purushottam of the VSSTU Burla. Registrar Prof MR Nayak, Director (CD) Partha Sarkar and two officials RECPDCl, among others, were present.
