The Union Government would felicitate 1,007 police personnel of Odisha, including 27 IPS officers, with the Antarik Suraksha Seva Padak, informed the DGP office in a statement on Friday.
The cops selected for the award belong to 19 Maoist-affected districts and include three commandants, one AIG, 22 personnel of the First Battalion, Dhenkanal, one ASAP of Gajapati Third
SS Battalion, three from Jajpur district, 65 from Ganjam district, two from Kandhamal, six from Gajapati, 221 from Malkangiri, 76 from Rayagada, 92 from Koraput, one from Commissionerate Police SS Battalion, three from Nuapada district, one fron Jharsuguda, 16 from Bargarh, 29 from Sambalpur and 438 SOG personnel.
