The British Council’s ‘Enriching Education’ workshop was held at the KiiT International School (KiiT-IS) here from February 13 to 15. Over 100 teachers from Government and private schools across India attended the professional development workshop that aimed to teach them to enrich the curriculum.

Participants received certificates from the British Council. This is the first time that the British Council organised the workshop in Odisha. This is yet another initiative of KiiT-IS to raise the level of school education in the State.

The workshops featured modules like ‘Explore the world through Shakespeare’, ‘Our shared history – World War I’, ‘Use of ICT to write short reports, stories and case studies’, ‘Child protection’ and ‘Active learning through science’.

They included Tracy Irish, Warwick Business School, Shakespeare Scholar at the University of Warwick, child protection expert Timothy Gerrish, education consultant Alison Willmott, Baldev Singh of Imagine Education ltd and Vimala Oak and Rekha Bajaj from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
