As many as 100 special buses will ply between Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri for the upcoming Rath Yatra in Puri scheduled on July .
This was decided at a meeting attended by the Private Bus Owners’ Association and the State Transport Authority on Wednesday.
The special bus services will be available for seven days on special occasions during the nine-day-long sojourn of Lord Jagannath. The passengers can avail bus services on June 30 (a day before Rath Yatra), July 1 (Rath Yatra), July 2 (a day after Rath Yatra), July 8 (a day before Bahuda Yatra), July 9 (Bahuda Yatra), July 10 (Suna Besha) and July 11 (a day after Suna Besha).
Arrangement will be made to halt the special buses at Talabania in Puri.
This apart, information centres will be opened in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri for the conveniences of passengers.
