Two more persons, including a one-year-old girl of Mangal Bazar in Jharsuguda town tested Covid-19 positive on Saturday, taking the total number of active cases in the district to three..
In a tweet, Jharsuguda Collector Saroj Kumar Samal said the girl is of the same family, of which a five-year-old boy had tested positive earlier. The family is under home quarantine and constant surveillance.
Besides, a 40-year-old male Maharashtra returnee of the district has also tested positive. He has been quarantined at a TMC at the DAV Public School, Brajarajnagar, the Collector said.
“There is nothing to worry about as both the patients are feeling well, isolated from others and under constant monitoring,” he added.
Following detection of the new cases, a very small part of Mangal Bazar and the TMC area in Brajarajnagar have been declared as containment zones.
