A youth was missing and two others were rescued when they were swept away by tides while bathing in the sea at Puri on Saturday.
According to reports, the three, students of Government Aviation Training Institute (GATI) in Bhubaneswar, went to take bath in the sea near Digabareni Chhak here with five of their friends early Saturday morning. They drowned while bathing following which lifeguards present at the beach rescued two of them. One of the survivors, identified as Rahul Sharma (21) of Jaipur in Rajasthan, was initially admitted to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital and later shifted to the SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.
