'Judge branding cow protectors as ‘Gundas’ must apologise'

In a hard-hitting remark against the judiciary,  Sankarcharya of Puri Nischalananda Saraswati said that the Judge, who branded the cow protectors as goons, must apologise.

Saraswati rather branded those leaders and Governments as criminals who are protecting the people behind cow smuggling and cow slaughter in the country.

He said those patronising the killings of cows are criminals and they have no rights to stay in power.  Urging the young generation to shun western culture, he stressed on an urgent need to draw the youths into the fold of spiritualism.

Demanding a ‘Hindu Rastra’ status to the country, the top Hindu seer called upon the parents and guardians to encourage their children to move on the path of spiritualism and respect traditions and ethos of the country.

A most blistering attack both on the judiciary as well as on the Government, which was unprecedented, came at a time, when Saraswati was addressing a three-day global conclave on spiritualism and Jaganath culture which ended on Friday here.

It was organised by the ‘Jaganath Biswa Adhyatmik Samilani’.  The conclave, sponsored by Sri Jagannath Chintan and Chetana World, was attended by Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal and Puri King Dibyasingha Dev.

Besides, several luminaries from spiritual background, prominent seers of mutts and seminaries from 23 countries participated in the mega session.

Targeting the present leadership for embracing acts of terror in the name of democracy, Saraswati warned citizens against unethical politics which, he said, is the root of all disturbances in the country.  He expressed concern over degrading environment and strongly opposed devastations of forest, water and air in the name of development. Saraswati asserted that the Vedas have no comparison, which are above the modern science.
