A couple and their 15-month-old child were found hanging in a house at Chintamaniswar under the Laxmisagar police station here on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Tushar Rajendra Jagtab and his wife Nila Jagtab and their daughter Sibinya.
The couple was natives of Maharashtra. They were staying in a rented house in Plot No-1508 of Chintamaniswar. Laxmisagar police said the bodies have been sent to the Capital Hospital for postmortem which can establish the exact cause of death.
Some locals said the couple used to quarrel frequently. It was suspected that they committed suicide along with their child over family feud.
“Tushar had been working in our hotel for the past six months. Initially he lived alone and brought his wife and daughter to Bhubaneswar two months back,” said Surekha Uttam Pawar.
“They couple used to fight frequently over a property dispute back in their village. Two days back, we brought them to our house. Last night, when I knocked on their door, I did not get any response,” she added.
