n Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday stated that the State Government should utilise Rs 641 crore released by the Central Government on May 1 as part of the first instalment of the Central share of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
Pradhan in his tweet mentioned that Odisha has suffered huge loss to life and livelihoods because of Cyclone Yaas. Earlier in the month, on the advice of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmal Sitharaman had released the Central share. He hoped that this fund would be utilised for restoration of loss and damages due to the cyclone and for relief assistance.
