Balangir district Collector Chanchal Rana in a tweet on Tuesday refuted the reports in media, including g some television channels and social media, that the Lower Suktel Irrigation Project in the district has been pushed into uncertainty after a statement by an RTI activist that a letter from the Central Water Commission has asked the Government of Odisha to send a fresh detailed project report (DPR) of the project. Issues mentioned in the activist’s statement are baseless and do not affect the Lower Suktel project work, said the district Collector.
