In a meeting of the District Planning Committee in Jabalpur on Saturday, Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh directed that standard-level fertilizer-seeds should be made available to the farmers.
He said that the investigation of complaints related to construction works in Gram Panchayats should be completed in a month. Before organizing “Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar”, villagers should be invited to the nearby Gram Panchayats by beating of drums. The services of medical experts of the medical college should also be obtained along with the district hospital in the health camps.
Finance, Planning, Economic and Statistics Minister tarun Bhanot said that the flyover, road and other works should be completed on priority basis for the development of the city. Required funds for these works will be made available. He said that efforts are being made to procure adequate financial assistance for the Narmada Mahotsav at Bhedaghat and Narmada Kumbh on the banks of Narmada by including them in the Culture Department list.
Social Justice and Disabled Public Welfare and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Lakhan Ghanghoria expressed concern over the increasing number of stray animals in the city in the meeting of the committee. He said that the owners of such animals should be instructed to keep their animals in the prescribed enclosure. In addition to imposing a fine on the animal owners who do not follow the instructions, other punitive action should also be taken.
