Local MP Sangeeta Singh Deo on Tuesday wrote to Union Health Minister Harsha Vardhan urging him to set up a COVID 19 testing facility at the Bhimbhoi Medical College at Balangir soon.
"There is only one laboratory at the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar in Odisha to test blood samples for COVID 19. The centre witnesses a lot of rush and test results are delayed. Balangir is strategically located in western Odisha and has the highest number of migrant people returning from other States.
They need to be tested and quarantined. Thus, a COVID-19 testing facility should be set up at Bhimbhoi Medical College," urged the BJP MP.
