The Red Cross State Branch Protection Committee, Odisha in letter to the Health Minister and the Indian Red Cross Odisha State Branch executive committee Chairman has demanded resumption of the monthly meeting of the society.
Protection committee convenor Dillip Dashsharma said that the financial report of the society has not been approved in executive meeting or in the annual general meeting since 2008-09.
He also said that the blood grouping machine in the Red Cross office is lying defunct and the name and logo of the Red Cross have been removed from the Red Cross blood banks.
Dashsharma also said that while the Red Cross blood banks are running without licences since 12 years, an ophthalmologist is being appointed as their director.
