This  has been possible due to a  battery of  sophisticated instrumentation systems and motivated, dedicated and highly specialised human resources, said PXE Director DK Joshi on Sunday while addressing  a gathering.

“We  are blessed with a beautiful sea bed for carrying out tests and evaluation.  In the weaponry front, Dhanush gun system, Advanced towed artillery gun (ATAG) system  , various variants of Multi barrel Pinaka  launching system, Anti-submarine  rockets system, anti-aircraft gun system  and different types of fuses to name but a few, are being tested and evaluated under four ranges of PXE unit.

The range system is being upgraded keeping pace with the demand of time.  It has become world class by inducting more sophisticated reliable  instruments," he said.Recently the telemetry system was inducted. It is on the path of development and further it is stressing on the indigenous development of of its equipment  in line of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. The unit has been playing a key role for the defence forces  of India and is committed   to deliver quality products in future, Joshi said. Due to Covid restrictions, the unit  based at Chandipur  here  held the celebrations of foundation day  as well as ‘Swarnim  Amrit Mahatsov’ in a limited manner.
