Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated the third edition of the Make in Odisha Conclave here in the Gandhi Maidan in presence of captains of industries and Ambassadors of Japan and Nepal.
While addressing the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) National Executive Council meeting here on the sidelines of the MIO Conclave, the CM said that both the Government of Odisha and the FICCI would continue to work together in near future towards bringing in investment and prosperity to Odisha.
He said Odisha is fast emerging as a fulcrum of trade, commerce and industrialisation in eastern India and the Bay of Bengal region.
“I would request the FICCI to promote Odisha as a destination of choice for the investor community through all your channels,” Patnaik said.
The Chief Minister outlined that the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) is a vibrant women entrepreneurship initiative in their engagement with the Mission Shakti.
“Through the Mission Shakti, our goal is to empower the women of our State to be model entrepreneurs and leaders. I would request the FICCI FLO team to work closely with the Mission Shakti Department to develop strategies for further strengthening of the entrepreneurship ecosystem at the grassroots while at the same time creating opportunities for local women entrepreneurs to reach out to the global markets,” Patnaik said.
