BJD president Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced to disburse the pending KALIA scheme money at a time on the first day of formation of a new BJD Government.
“The genuine beneficiaries under KALIA scheme will get the two instalments money of Rs 10,000 at one time if the BJD is voted back to power,” said Patnaik during an election campaign here.
Notably, as KALIA funds to eligible farmers have been stopped due to enforcement of election model code of conduct, the two instalments would be credited to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries after the BJD retains power.
Patnaik said that not a single farmer would be deprived of KALIA benefits.
“The farmers are on the top of our agenda. Around 40 lakh farmers have already benefited under the KALIA scheme so far and another 25 lakh farmers will be added to the list,” he said.
Addressing a huge public gathering in Koraput town, Patnaik once again targeted the Centre accusing it of being negligent towards Odisha. “However, I am with you and will always remain with you,” he said.
