In an awareness meeting organised by the Kandhamal district Congress in Baliguda of the district on Friday, Odisha in-charge A Chella Kumar came down heavily on the Odisha Government.
Kumar said in its 23-year rule the Naveen Patnaik Government has not increased irrigation facilities by one per cent in Kandhamal district. In the district, schools are there but there are no teachers. Similarly, hospitals are there but no doctors are there. In Odisha, democracy is dead.
“A Secretary has snatched the rights of the Ministers and MLAs. If the Congress comes to power in the State, the people would get rid of the Naveen-Pandian rule,” he added.
Pradesh Congress Committee president Sarat Patnaik said the people of Odisha have been ruined in the BJP, BJD rule. Narendra Modi’s 2 crore jobs and Naveen Patnaik’s 2 lakh employment opportunities have turned into a smokescreen. As many as 16 lakh people are not getting a square meal in the State. Fuel and LPG gas prices haven’t been controlled by the Centre.
