‘Odisha now to see bipolar polls only’

Published on:

BJP State president Samir Mohanty on Wednesday said the Congress has become ineffective in Odisha and, thus, there would only  be a bipolar electoral fight between his party and the BJD in coming elections.

“In the 2019 elections, people of Odisha had discarded Congress and endorsed the BJP to second position. Now, by-poll results have shown that the Congress has become powerless and people have accepted BJP. In coming days, Odisha will be Congress-free and there would be a bipartite fight between the BJP and the BJD,” said Mohanty at a Press conference.

He said while the BJP had fought the by-polls bases on issues, the Congress had resorted to false propaganda only. Mohanty thanked voters of the two constituencies for coming out of home exercising franchise in big numbers at a difficult time of Covid pandemic. He said to that he accepts the people’s verdict with respect.

Among others, BJP State secretaries Prithviraj Harichandan and Golak Mohapatra and State Secretary Tankadhar Tripathy were present.
