The State is emphasising on bringing more investments in chemical and petrochemical sector for development of people, said Industries, MSME and Home Minister Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra at a programme titled “Global Chemicals and Petrochemicals Manufacturing Hubs in India” held in Mumbai on Monday.

Claiming that Odisha enjoys a stable political environment and ensures zero tolerance to corruption and low operation cost, Mishra said the State is an ideal destination for investment.
He said the Government has given a priority of the Petroleum, Chemicals and petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR) at Paradip and developed a plastics park at Paradip.
He invited all companies to take advantage of the business reforms and State-of–the-art infrastructure facilities in Odisha and set up manufacturing units in the State.

“Besides endowed with coal, bauxite and chromium, Odisha has a competitive advantage in terms of low manpower costs, affordable power tariffs and low cost of living,” he said.
