Chromium reserves in Odisha would play a big role in meeting the demand of the world, said Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the “Chromium 2019” programme organised by the International Chromium Development Association (ICDA) in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“Odisha has a reserve of 95 per cent of country’s chromium. Odisha’s chromium is of high quality. Being a leader in chromium sector, the State has also ample opportunities to create employments in private sector,” said Pradhan.

He said the Union Government has given importance on both business and common people’s living standard in view of its target of reaching American $5 trillion. India is the most favourable country for investment, he said.
