The Centre for Child and Women Development (CCWD) in collaboration with the ActionAid launched a campaign ‘No to child marriage, Yes to School’ here on Wednesday to create awareness for abolition of child marriage and encourage girls to go to schools.
Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCRC) Chairperson Sandhyabati Pradhan inaugurated the campaign and spoke on role and responsibility of children, parents and stakeholders to abolish child marriage.
On the occasion, a mass oath taking ceremony was conducted. Among others ActionAid Regional Manager Debabrat Patra, Ghasiram panda and Headmistress Renumanjari Mohaptra were present.
