Pradesh Congress Committee former secretary Pradipta Kumar Das alleged here on Monday that PCC president Niranjan Patnaik has a covert deal to finish up Congress in Odisha.
Addressing a Press conference here, Das who was recently suspended from Congress for his anti-party activities, asked the PCC chief as to why he did not follow a proper procedure while suspending him from the party.
“Before issuing a suspension order against me, why was not a show cause notice served to me as per norms of the party,” he asked. He alleged that Patnaik is determined to root out Congress from Odisha and therefore he is hand in glove with somebody.
Further, he questioned the propriety in changing Bhubaneswar DCC president Manas Coudhury as Cuttack DCC president. He alleged that it looks like transferring a BDO from one block to another. “How he transferred Choudhury to Cuttack District like a Government officer is transferred from one place and posted at another,” he asked.
Das demanded that his suspension be withdrawn at the earliest for the betterment of the Congress in Odisha.
