Speakers narrated their own experiences on Lord Jagannath while attending a spiritual function here in Puri on Monday. While some of them put their wonderful experiences on the Lord, some explained how they have amazingly escaped troubles in their lives due to the almighty.
The discussion was organised by one Gundicha Adhyatmika Trust of Puri where many eminent personalities put forth their feelings on Lord Jagannath.
Joining as guest in the discussion, industrialist and veteran BJP leader Pandit Murali Manohar Sharma said that a man in a great trouble can only survive by spiritual power when all other efforts fail in rescuing him.
Citing an instance at Barbil, when interstate hooligans suddenly invaded his worksite and roughed people off around with arms and ammunitions, Sharma said that he had no way there than praying the Lord.
However, by the grace of Lord Jagannath, hundreds of men could narrowly escape from the miscreants though many trucks and machines were set ablaze by them. He requested people to follow the path of spiritualism.
Dr Rabinarayan Samant, as chief guest, said by dedication and devotion, one can feel Jagannath.
He stressed upon spiritualism as only panacea to peace and healthy life.
Presiding over the meeting, Dr Bhagirathi Behra, chairman of the trust, told that there is no difference between humanism and spiritualism and Lord Jagannath is best symbol of it.
Among others, Prof Abhimanyu Bhuian, columnist Satya Panda, Gaurishankar Padhi, Dr Balaram Dash, Bijaylaxmi Sahu, researcher Madanmohan Mohapatra and social activist Bhabaini Baliar Singh presented their experience. Trust secretary Laxmi Narayan Patnaik gave his welcome address.
