The Manav Adhikar Surakhya Manch held in its 94th Ghanta Yatra (cymbal beating rally) here on Monday and submitted a memorandum to the RDC Southern Region-cum-Swasthya Vikas Samiti Chairman demanding proper functioning of the dialysis machine in the Nephrology Department of the MKCG Medical College Hospital here.
The Manch also demanded opening of a dialysis department in the City Hospital here as people of south Odisha in general and Brahmapur in particular are dependent on both the hospitals.
Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya said that as the number of kidney patients is on the rise, the proper functioning of the dialysis machine in the MKCG and opening of a department in the City Hospital would immensely help the patients.
