The Samajika Nyaya Abhijan, Odisha on Saturday said it would form a high-level delegation to New Delhi in coming days to make heads of different secular political parties about Odisha’s political, financial and social status.

Addressing a Press meet here, former Koraput MLA Krushna Chandra Sagaria said that the delegation would also request the party heads to give priority to the problems of Dalits, Adivasis, Minorities and Backward Classes, which together constitute 94 per cent of the State’s population, in their agendas in the upcoming 2019 elections for Assembly seats and Lok Sabha seats.

The party captains would also be requested to field a Chief Minister candidate from these groups, he added.

Abhijan president Akshaya Kumar Mallick called upon the State Government o make public the list of companies and individuals, who have paid penalties for stealing minerals in the State. “If notices are put in front of the houses of small loan defaulter farmers, why the big wrongdoers would be spared,” he questioned.
