‘Let CM break silence on Mamita case’

The BJP on Tuesday accused the BJD of creating a mess of law and order in the State.

Party general secretary Dr Lekhashri Samantsinghar alleged that the State Government made all-out efforts to give safe passage to the accused in the Kalahandi teacher Mamita Meher murder case.

She said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik should break his silence in the matter and sack Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra and take action against him.

She questioned that when the entire State was on boil for the Mamita murder case, why Minister Mishra was hiding in Raipur and Chandigarh. Where Minister and main accused in the case Govinda Sahu were staying on October 18, she asked.

"Is it not fact that the Chief Minster must be aware about the Minsiter’s travel to different places? Then after knowing his clandestine link why the CM allowed Minster Mishra to sit with him in public meetings," she asked.
