Jharsuguda is much ahead of other districts in the fields of industry, mining, agriculture and transportation. Now also, while the district is quite developed in industrialisation, it has the target to develop more in the field of industry, agriculture based industries, food processing and setting up of new industrial houses.
The Central Government has proposed to make Jharsuguda an industrial cluster in national level. In the coming days, 100 new industries are likely to come up in the district, said Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Attending the celebration at Jharsuguda for completion of first year in the second innings of the BJP Government, Pradhan attended the Jan Sambad virtual rally of Jharsuguda constituency.
