The district BJD organised a party workers’ meet on Tuesday here. Attending the event, Rourkela MLA and Jharsuguda district observer Sharda Prasad Nayak said that during his five-term regime, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has stood people in good stead and solved their problems.
For this, he has been loved by common people as their beloved leader, Nayak said further, adding that he was fortunate to work under such a leader as minister and in other organisation posts.
Jharsuguda is not new to him and on being selected as district observer of BJD his responsibility has been increased, he told. On the occasion, he remembered the contribution of former MLA late Kishore Mohanty.
Health Minister and Jharsuguda MLA Naba Kisore Das said that due to the able-leadership of BJD supremo and CM Naveen Patnaik, Odisha has become an advanced State in the country. Naveenbabu has done a lot for the all-round development of Jharsuguda district. Starting from airport to heart hospital, cancer hospital, stadium, diagnostic centre, rail over bridge and other development works, the CM has approved many projects for the district, Das maintained.
Brajrajnagar MLA Alaka Mohanty said that Jharsuguda district was formed due to the sincere efforts of his husband and former MLA late Kisore Mohanty. She pledged to do her best to strengthen the party and fulfil the dreams of his late husband.
Zilla Parishad President Tulabati Minj, Jharsuguda Municipality Chairperson Rani Hati, Vice- Chairman Venugopal Panigrahi, Brajrajnagar Municipality Chairperson Jagyaseni Oram and Vice Chairman Gopal Sitani among others spoke.
