The family members of deceased Mamata and Jyotsna Pothal and women leaders of Bhuban NAC led by Kamakhyanagar Assembly segment BJP Kishan Morcha Pravari Er Debashisha Hota met Dhenkanal SP Santosh Nayak demanding proper investigation into the incident what they alleged to be a double murder case.
Here noteworthy that, on September 7, both Mamata and her minor daughter Jyotshna of Nua Bhuban Godipatana area were killed in gas cylinder leakage mishap but the petitioners before the SP said it was a case of murder.
On September 12, women leaders of Bhuban NAC approached Bhuban police SI Pankaj Majhi for the postmortem report. Majhi showed them a piece of paper saying it as the report. According to Majhi, in the report, Dr Ramesh Sahoo marked that the mother and daughter died due to burning.
However, the women leaders said the report of Dr Sahoo was not believable.
They demanded the SP for DNA verification of the organ parts of the deceased which has been preserved by the doctor after autopsy.
They also demanded stringent action against Dr Sahoo if any hanky-panky was found. Meanwhile, SP Nayak directed Additional SP Binay Krushna Kamila to look into the sensitive case personally for immediate justice to the kin of the deceased.
