While India has become the second largest steel producer of the world, Indian steel manufacturers have to depend upon foreign countries for technology and equipment. For the growth of steel industry in the country, we need to develop steelmaking technologies and equipments indigenously, says JSPL CEO (Steel Business) NA Ansai while participating in a panel discussion during a Conclave on Capital Goods for Steel Sector: Manufacture in India, organised here on Tuesday by the Union Ministry of Steel.
He further said that for increasing steel manufacturing to achieve the Mission 2030, the country needs to improve capabilities for metallurgical equipments. Former Steel Secretary Dr Aruna Sharma chaired the panel discussion, which was co-chaired by SAIL Chairman Anil Chaudhary and BHEL CMD AtulSobti.
