The All Odisha Kirtan Kalakar Mahasangha led by State president Er Debashisha Hota submitted a memorandum for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through Collector Saroj Kumar Sethy to increase the quota of Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana 4,000 artists for Dhenkanal and Angul districts each.
Here it is noteworthy that, total 7,897 artists have applied for “Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana” in Dhenkanal district. But the quota is only of 200. This is too less than the number of total applicants, said Hota.
To give proper respect to the artists of both Dhenkanal and Angul districts, at least 4,000 artists should be covered under the scheme, Hota added.
"We hope and believe that, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will definitely increase the number of beneficiaries under the “Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana,” Er Hota told.
