The All Odisha Advocates' Forum and the Akhila Bharat Adhibakta Mancha have demanded implementation of the Advocate Protection Act.
The lawyers of Odisha held discussion in this regard with Odisha Advocates' Council president Sitanshu Mohan Dwibedi. With the implementation of the Act, the advocates will not only get protection, but also receive benefits, said the members of the Mancha.
Forum Chairperson Harapriya Samantaray, Orissa High Court advocate Dr Lingaraj Sahoo from Bharatiya Sanjukta Adhibakta Mancha, senior lawyer Akshay Kumar Pati, Bishnupriya Prusty and Swetapadma Priyadarshini among others participated. On the occasion, a draft was prepared by the Mancha.
