“It’s a moment of glory for Odisha,” remarked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in a tweet after Draupadi Murmu was declared as the country’s President.
Patnaik had referred to Murmu as “daughter of Odisha” and announced support to her while she was earlier nominated as the NDA Presidential candidate.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Pradesh Congress president Sarat Pattanayak also conveyed their greeting to Murmu.
