To provide a vibrant marketing system to denizens, the Berhamapur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) has decided to establish a special daily market, named ‘Ganjam Haat’, in line with the Ekamra Haat in Bhubaneswar:
The proposed haat will have cultural and recreational platforms for amusement of people in their leisure hours.
“The enclosed haat area will house a cinema hall, open penadal for cultural programmes, a long foot path for senior citizens and systems for entertainment of children, apart from shops and a daily market,” said BeMC Commissioner Chakravarty Singh Rathore.
The haat will be established on the open field near the Biju Patnaik Park, he said.
