State Housing and Urban Development Minster Pratap Jena inaugurated and laid foundation-stones of a slew of projects on Friday on the eve of the Local Self-Governance Day.
Minister Jena addressing a public meeting here said efforts would be made to rejuvenate the Jagatsinghpur Municipality in coming days.
Later, he distributed PMAY work orders to beneficiaries living in the Jagatsinghpur municipal area. Earlier, the Minister had inaugurated a community centre and a Mission Shakti building, a concrete road in Badabaga, community toilets and a Kalyan Mandap.
Among others, MP Dr Rajashree Mallick, MLAs Bishnu Das and Prasanta Muduli, district Collector SK Mohapatra and Municipality Executive Officer Baladev Behera were present.
