A senior Minister reportedly advised the new BJD MLAs not to use costly cars and wear gold chains and, instead, lead simple life to win trust of people.
“We were asked not to use luxurious cars and gold chains and, instead, lead simple life and work for people,” Phulbani MLA Angad Kanhar told reporters when asked to comment what transpired in the meeting of first-time BJD MLAs held by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Naveen Niwas.
When reporters wanted to know whether the Chief Minister said this, Kanhar, a first-time MLA, said, “No, Sir (the CM) didn’t say this. A senior Minister advised us.”
