When the entire globe is busy discussing grave concerns related to the Covid-19 pandemic, members of the VETTRTVA – DSBM Literary Club under the patronage of DAV School of Business Management, Bhubaneswar tried to derive aesthetic pleasure from the pandemic by organising a literary webinar on “Covid-19: An Observation through Creativity”.
Revenue and Disaster Management Principal Secrtary Bishnupada Sethi gracing the occasion cited the history of different pandemics, natural disasters and catastrophes and recited lines of famous poet Bhima Bhoi, explaining how literature can help people to cope with hard times. He also appreciated the presentations made by students.
Delivering welcome address, DSBM Principal Dr DN Mishra opined that the main objective of the literary webinar is to develop content writing skills. He advised the students’ community to convert the challenges into opportunities during this pandemic. Dr Mishra appealed to learn how to ‘respond’ rather than ‘react’.
Five students, Shweta Mishra, Sanchita Mimansha, Srikrupa Rath Barenya Kar and Padmaja Kar, made literary presentations. P Subham Patro and Sritam Tripathy handled the responsibilities as technical coordinators while VETTRTVA student Tejaswinee Nayak was the overall coordinator.
Dr KC Satapathy, Regional Officer, DAV Institutions, Zone-I and Ipsita Das, Principal, DAV Public School, Unit-VIII also graced the event and motivated the students with their influential messages.
VETTRTVA coordinator Lecturer Anshuman Mohanty moderated the event.
