BJP star campaigner and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday conducted two public meetings at Talpadar and Agalpur and a road show at Bijepur and appeal to people to vote for BJP candidate for Bijepur by-poll Sanat Gadtia.
Pradhan directly targeted Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik alleging that he has failed in keeping his own promise of taking care for development of the Bijepur constituency.
“During 2018 by-election, Chief Minister had declared he would take responsibility for development of Bijepur. BJD candidate won that election. In 2019 election, he made the same promise and won the seat himself. But hospitals lack doctors and schools are running with short of teachers and no irrigation facility has been created,” alleged Pradhan.
He wanted to know why the CM vacated the Bijepur seat and did not leave the Hinjili in Ganjam district. He said the Chief Minster has betrayed the people of Bijepur.
Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari, BJP State president Basanta Panda, MLA Mukesh Mahaling, former MLA Pradeep Purohit, former Minister KV Singh Deo, vice-president Ashwini Sarangi, district president Arupananda Sahu, Zilla Parishad President Mukta Sahu, BJYM president Tankadhar Tripathi and candidate Sanat Gadtia were present.
