The children speaking and thinking in their mother tongue, when taught in other languages in different phases, get confused. There is scientific proof of this, said Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while unveiling primer books in ‘Kui’ and Desia languages here on Thursday.
It is necessary that education is imparted in mother tongue, Sitharaman said.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the two books in Kui and Desia languages have been prepared in 100 days. Pradhan thanked the committee members, specialists and language teachers who toiled hard to prepare these books. The Central Government is serious about imparting education to the students in their mother tongues.
