While addressing his followers here on Thursday, former Rourkela BJP MLA Dilip Ray did not forget to mention about the CBI case against him.
He said without any guilt the case has been filed against him intentionally to harass him. But he is not a man to be afraid of the vindictive action nor does he believe in flattering to avoid any proceeding against him. He always believes in sincerity and honesty and in politics to do something for the people of Rourkela, in particular and for the State in general.
Citing the CBI case, he said, “I have done no wrong in nearly four decades of my public life.” That is why instead of seeking a discharge he volunteers himself for a speedy trial. He further said, "A representation was made to me as a former Coal Minister by BJP MP PK Agrawal for the allocation of a coal block. I had just forwarded the same to the department for re-examination."
But the allocation was made by the screening committee of which he was not a member. But his political rivals dragged him into the controversy unnecessarily using the CBI, said Ray.
