The BJP on Friday severely criticized the State Government over various irregularities revealed in the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) report tabled in the State Assembly recently.
“The CAG report has brought the real face of Naveen Patnaik-led BJD Government to the fore. Many irregularities have been revealed in the report. On behalf of people, the BJP would approach the court against all these irregularities.” said party spokesperson Pitambar Acharya at a Press conference here.
Acharya said the CAG has written to the Sports and Youth Services department to stop spending on the Biju Yuba Vahini after the department told the former that it would not cooperate in conducting audits into the BYV spending in view of officials remaining busy for the upcoming World Hockey Cup.
Acharya demanded that department secretary give a reply to the public as to how officials don’t get time to cooperate with the CAG in conducting audit while they find time in managing the BYV.
He also slammed the Government for providing water connectivity to 3.7 per cent households. He said the CAV revelation of the State losing Rs 155 corre for wrong DPR in PMGSY has brought to the fore the State Government’s inefficiency and false allegation of Central negligence.
