A suspected timer bomb was found near the office of Talcher MLA Brajakishore Pradhan at Bharatpur in Angul district on Friday.
According to reports, supporters of the legislator spotted the object lying near the gate of the office. On being informed by them, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation to ascertain as to who placed the ‘bomb’.
This apart, cops were trying to find out whether the ‘bomb’ was real or not.
The MLA said, “Several political parties in Talcher are trying to harm me intentionally. This is unfortunate in democracy. They had earlier torched my vehicle and house. Today, a bomb has been found near my office. Police are probing into the matter.”
