‘BJD workers attack Kharabela in K’pada’

Published on:

The Utkal Bharat alleged that BJD cadres attacked its leader Kharabela Swain and workers with lethal weapons while Swain was addressing a meeting at Ali in Kendrapada district on Wednesday.

Stating that the goons were supports of Rajya Sabha BJD member Pratap Deb, Utkal Bharat State vice-president Rajendra Dalabehera termed the attack as “an act of cowardice” and said his party would never move back from its mission and take the incident as a challenge.

“BJD workers have become corrupt and violent as their party has remained in power for a very long period. Ruling party workers are resorting to such violent acts in order to cover up the State Government’s misdeeds,” he said.

Dalabehera too alleged that the police administration didn’t provide security to the Utkal Bharat for holing the meeting despite a written request.
