The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Mocha (BJYM) would hold a youth conference titled ‘Nua Odisha Yuba Sanjojaka Sammilani’ involving youth convenors of all 147 Assembly constituencies here on Wednesday to decide action plans to fight against alleged PC (percentage) taking practice and press for creation of employment opportunities in the State.

“The State Government has made rules to distribute projects worth up to Rs 5 lakh without tenders. Now, BJD MLAs have turned contractors in disguise and are taking all projects. Thus, unemployed youths have been deprived of getting income sources,” alleged Morcha State president Tankadhar Tripathy on Tuesday.

Tripathy said BYJM convenors from all Assembly constituencies would gather here to decide strategies against such illegal practices being adopted during the Naveen Patnaik Government. He said Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would attend the conference as chief guest.

He further informed that slogans be given to the effect that youth activists would go to people and make them know how BJD leaders have become contractors and taking away Government funds and call upon youths to get united and fight for their rights.

Among others, Morcha national vice-president Thakur Ranjit Das, State general secretaries Bishwaranjan Jena and N Rajendra Kumar and secretary Om Prakash Mishra were present.
